A Little Bit About Mrs. Yourczek: (Warning: This is a repeat of our first newsletter!)
This is my 14th year of teaching 3rd grade! I love 3rd grade! I've also taught 5th and 6th grade as well.
I have two daughters that are 19 and 21. Jordyn is a senior at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and Alyssa is a sophomore at University of Minnesota - Duluth. My husband, Randy, is a pipe fitter. He is currently working on a big project at Abbott Hospital in Minneapolis. Last, but not least, is Oakley! He is our 7 year old Cavapoo. (He thinks he's part dog, part cat and part human.) Some day I'm going to need to tell him the truth!
I love to read, walk, paddle board, watch movies, work-out, scrapbook, make cards and spend time with my family. I also love to garden, when the plants are healthy and blooming! We love to spend time up at the lake where we can swim, fish, ski, tube, paddle board, snowmobile and ride the 4 wheeler!
My Mission
I believe it is most important that all children feel comfortable in the classroom and really look forward to being there. Once they are excited to be there, that is when the learning takes place! I believe it is important to reach out to every child and help them to become all that they can be. It is important to provide choices and opportunities that allow children to discover just how far they can go. I have high expectations in my classroom as I have found, through my experience, that all children can rise to the occasion and challenge themselves!
